How do I create an account for the service?

By registering on Huutokaupat.com, you can bid on unique items from Finland. Registration requires you to be of legal age, create a username, fill in your information, select a customer type, verify your email, and authenticate with online banking credentials. After activating your account, you can place bids in the service.

Registering on Huutokaupat.com
  1. Create a username
    • You can register if you are of legal age.
    • Go to the registration page by clicking the “Log in” button at the top right corner of the homepage and then “Register for the service,” or directly at https://huutokaupat.com/tee-tunnus.
    • At the same time, review the service terms of use.
       
  2. Fill in the required information
    During registration, enter:
    1. Email address
    2. Phone number
    3. Password (at least 12 characters)
    4. Address
      • Add your permanent home address
      • The address will appear on the sales contracts
      • You can change the delivery address during payment.
         
  3. Select customer type
    • Select “Private” if you do not have a business ID (y-tunnus).
    • Select “Company” if you have a business ID.
    • You can place bids using the same account both as a private individual and as a company.

  4. Verify your email address
    • Once you have created your account, you will receive a confirmation email.
    • Verify your email either by clicking the link in the message or by entering the activation code on the website.
    • Be sure to check your spam and promotions folders if necessary!
       
  5. Authenticate yourself
    • After verifying your email, you will be asked to authenticate using your online banking credentials.
    • You can authenticate immediately or later, but you cannot place bids before authenticating.
    • All users are authenticated to ensure the reliability of the service.
       
  6. Complete the authentication
    1. Select “Start authentication”
    2. Choose your bank
    3. Log in to your online bank and approve the authentication
    4. After authentication, you will automatically return to the service.
       
  7. Done!
    • Your account is now active.
    • In the future, log in using your email address and password.
    • Keep your contact information up to date in the My Page section.
