When will I know if the seller accepts my offer?

This article explains when a bidder can expect a decision on whether the seller accepts the offer for an item.

The timing of offer acceptance primarily depends on the auction's sales terms. Sometimes, acceptance of the offer may be delayed for other reasons.

  • Sold to the highest bidder
  • The seller reserves the right to accept/reject the highest bid
  • Other

Sold to the highest bidder

You will receive an email notification of offer acceptance immediately after the auction ends. At the same time, you will receive payment instructions.

The seller reserves the right to accept/reject the highest bid

If the item is listed with this sales condition, you will receive an email notification after the auction ends if your offer is the highest. After the auction ends, the seller has two (2) business days to decide whether to accept or reject the highest offer. Once a decision has been made, you will be notified by email.

If your offer is accepted, you will receive payment instructions at the same time.

Price negotiation has been initiated with you

If the item is sold so that the seller has the right to accept or reject the highest bid and the bid price is over 3,000 euros, the advertiser has the possibility to initiate a price negotiation with you. In this case, you will receive an email stating that the advertiser wishes to negotiate the sale price. The advertiser will contact you and propose a new price for the item. If an agreement is reached on the price, the advertiser will pass the information to Huutokaupat.com, and you will receive payment instructions in your email as usual.

Other

Sometimes the item's listing mentions that acceptance will take longer than usual. In this case, the seller may accept the offer with a delay.

A delay verified at the time of publication is often due to factors related to decision-making by public administration or a similar client.

If there is no mention of a delay in the listing and, as the highest bidder, you have not received information about the acceptance or rejection of your offer, please contact our customer service using the contact form. We will contact the seller and urge them to make a decision. As a bidder, you also have the right to withdraw from the transaction if the seller has not made a decision within two business days.
